Find out about fostering

Event at County Hall next week

Leicestershire foster child

Residents are invited to attend a special event to find out more about fostering vulnerable children and young people in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire County Council is hoping the next informal information evening it hosts, due to be held from 6.30pm - 8pm on Wednesday, 12 July at County Hall in Glenfield, will encourage more people to open up their hearts and homes to children in need.

The event will provide an opportunity for people to meet and talk to carers, as well as the council’s fostering team and find out about how providing foster care is a hugely rewarding role.

To get a flavour of what the county council’s fostering events are like, a short video is also now available online. The 60-second clip can be viewed at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/whats-on/find-out-about-fostering
