By-election to take place in May

Voters in Stoney Stanton and Croft will go to the polls on 3 May

Use your vote by-election

A by-election will be held this spring following the death of former County Councillor, Ernie White, who sadly passed away in the New Year.

Voting for a County Councillor to represent Stoney Stanton and Croft will take place on 3 May.

Residents have until Tuesday, 17 April to check whether they’re on the electoral register and sign up.

The County Council makes decisions on local services and issues that affect us all.

Whether it is school places, roads, transport, local health, social care or waste disposal, everyone in Leicestershire uses one of these services or may need them in the future.

Often people miss out on the chance to vote by assuming they’re registered when they’re not - we’d encourage people not to miss out and make sure they use their vote.
