We are a term time only setting and follow Leicestershire County Council holidays. The setting is on ground floor level and we have access to a secure outdoor area. Inside we operate a free flow policy with areas of continuous provision which include; home corner, construction, small world, play dough, loose parts, water play and comfortable book corner. Outside includes a large sand pit, mud kitchen, ride on equipment, music stage and loose parts. We have an `In the Moment` approach through a loose parts ethos. Most of our resources are natural and open ended with many real objects such as phones and scales. We offer fruit and vegetables and milk/ water at a rolling snack time. Drinking water is available all day. Children staying for a full day will need to bring a packed lunch. We use teaching programmes; Every Child a Talker and Letters and Sounds Phase 1 to support learning. Manager has BA Honours Degree Early Childhood and Special Educational Needs. Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification, Autism Diploma, Level 3 Autism early years Lead Practitioner, Block Therapy Practitioner and experienced SENCO. 25 years in childcare. Deputy manager is level 3 qualified and has many years experience. All core staff hold a full Level 3 Early Years qualification and level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
