Small Steps Play and Creative Arts

Small Steps Play and Creative Arts Therapy is run by Debbie Wilson and provides Play Therapy to children aged 5-16 years old. For adults talking is the natural way of dealing with issues but for children it is through play or creative means.

Play Therapy supports children in working through their big feelings and developing self esteem. Small Steps also recognises that the role of parents and carers has become more complex. It can sometimes be confusing to know how to set safe and fair boundaries, how to keep our attachment to our children strong in a technological world and how to encourage our children to have respect for themselves and others.

Small Steps provides support for parents and carers through Parent Child Attachment Play (parent/s alone), Heart 2 Heart (parent/s and child) and Self Care programmes. I also provide Supervision and Self Care programmes for Therapists and those in caring roles. I also offer a support group for mums of anxious kids. We meet regularly online and occasionally in person.

I work from a private practice in Loughborough and an initial consultation is offered to anyone who might be interested in using any of the Small Steps services.
