Project Bilal is a Muslim faith based club which is a Partner Organisation to Special Olympics Leicestershire & Rutland. We provides sport, crafts and recreational activities for children from the age of 8 upwards (predominantly ages 8 - 19) with learning disability, and adults with learning disability.
The centre provides children with social interaction, care, education and exercise in a fun and stimulating environment.
We work to reduce ignorance and prejudice faced by individuals with special needs through increasing awareness and understanding. Project Bilal provide information and advice to families about local and national provision, entitlements to financial assistance and other related issues.
In conjunction with Special Olympics it provides competition opportunities locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. The club meets Tuesday evenings from 6.00 to 7.30 pm. No special dress requirements. Cost £7 per session.
