The Educational Psychology Service applies psychological expertise, research and theoretical understanding to work at every level within local settings on behalf of children / young people aged 0 to 25 years to ensure individual progress is maximised and working in partnership with parents/carers.The children / young people we work with are educated in Leicestershire academies or maintained / independent schools; in early years settings; are residents of Leicestershire but attend specialist educational settings beyond the county boundary.The Service's key tasks are to offer bespoke, commissioned interventions to educational providers & to assist the Local Authority fulfil its statutory duties towards children / young people with complex learning difficulties and disabilities under the terms of The 2015 SEND Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years & The Equality Act 2010.
