Helping Hands provide a free advice service on Welfare Benefits, Debts, Utility costs, Housing, Employment, Family Law and much more.  Whatever your needs, we will always help.

If you are terrified by forms or can’t understand letters we will help to explain things. We are happy to help people with mental or physical problems. We will speak up for everyone and make your voice heard. We will treat everything you tell us in confidence. We offer a face to face service at our three centres: 

  • South Wigston office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm
  • Wigston URC, Long Street, Wigston LE18 2AJ - Thursdays: 10am to 3pm
  • Trinity Methodist Church, Oadby, LE2 5AB on Tuesdays from 10 am to 3pm.

We now have an Energy Champion who is able to support on all matters relating to energy issues including advice on insulation etc, and have 2 workers supporting the work of Leicester South Foodbank at their 12 hubs in the City and County
