FreeDA (Free Debt Advice)

We help solve personal debt problems for people in Shepshed and Charnwood, Leicestershire (LE12 & LE11). We are a free, no charges, face to face debt counselling service with local advisers.

We will work with you and provide you with a plan to get you back in control of your finances. We will negotiate with your creditors on your behalf, help take the strain of coping with bailiffs and in some cases we may be able to find you charitable support. 

We have a range of options for dealing with debt. Our trained advisers will help you choose your way forward, whether it's a Debt Management Plan (DMP), Debt Relief Order (DRO), an Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA) or other options.

This service is open to anyone with personal debt problems. We are entirely staffed by trained volunteers and therefore have limited opening hours. FreeDA is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
