Early Years Nursery inclusive playscheme

• Up to 20 children at each session
• Children are split into smaller groups dependent on adult:child ratio
• Fully accessible to wheelchairs inside and outside
• A quiet area can be provided where required
• 1-1 support can  be provided if funding is available

Staff have experience in supporting Sensory needs, Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication needs

Our staff are trained to support:

• Positive Behaviour Management
• Basic Makaton

We also operate a nursery. The Nursery Teacher and Nursery Manager work together with the staff team to provide a wealth of learning opportunities for the children to experience both in and outdoors. Staff have high expectations for the children and are motivated to ensure all children succeed. We form good relationships with our parents and freely share information in children's 'Learning Journeys'. The nursery is based in the centre of town in a purpose-built complex consisting of two buildings, a large outdoor area and separate kitchen. The first building is an old school with a mezzanine floor which provides a variety of learning areas: some large, some small and the outdoor environment is divided into different areas which include loose parts play, sensory pits, imaginary play and music and water falls. The second building also has a large outdoor play area and benefits from a canopy, allowing free-flow play. The nursery was awarded 'Good' in our latest Ofsted inspection in November 2015.
