Earl Shilton Community House

The Community House provides local residents, tenants and young people with direct access to public services including the Police, Housing Officers, the Youth Offending Team, Connexions, Age Concern and Voluntary Action. It runs several projects including basic skills classes, diversionary activities for young people in school holidays, after-school youth clubs and art classes. The Town Council are also based in the house.

The House is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.15 am to 2.15 pm and till 4.30 pm on a Wednesday.  Some of the services and information available at the community house are:

  • Alcohol support
  • Adult education (Maths, English and Sign Language)
  • Domestic abuse advice/support
  • Older residents' outings
  • Family learning
  • Knitting group
  • Craft group
  • Cooking sessions
