Keeping Our Roads Open

The Resilient Network is made up of routes in the County that are considered essential for economic activity and for key services in the event of extreme weather events, major incidents and other disruption. We treat these roads as a priority in the event of any such incidents, and focus our resources on keeping them available for use.

During extreme weather we focus our resources on gritting the county roads. For all other disruptive events (not just severe winter weather) we have developed the Resilient Network.
