Step forward all potential foster carers

There's an event taking place at County Hall where people can find out more

Why foster with us?

People are being asked to step forward and become foster parents to vulnerable children and young people in Leicestershire.

The county council's 'find out about fostering' events are aimed at helping prospective foster parents understand more about what is involved.

The next event will be held on Thursday (12th April) from 6.30pm to 8pm at County Hall in Glenfield and will provide an opportunity for people to meet and talk to foster carers, as well as the council’s fostering team.

Many people think about fostering, but, for whatever reason, discount themselves as they believe their circumstances may not be suitable. However, in most cases this is far from true and, at these events, the team and current foster carers will provide all the support and information needed

You can find out more about fostering at www.fosteringleicestershire.com , by emailing fosteringandadoption@leics.gov.uk or calling 0116 305 0505.

There are further ‘find out about fostering’ events planned for Wednesday, 2nd May; Thursday, 24th May and Thursday, 14 June.
