In April 2016 the council’s Cabinet agreed that a new approach could be adopted to drive the council's transformation.

The creation of a transformation programme enabled the council to drive the budget savings and to pursue improvements.

The council has now released the latest transformation annual report which contains summaries, illustrations and video clips.  The report highlights the progress made on projects which have enabled savings of £8.5m in-year and more than £35m since the programme began in 2014.
