Library members are allowed a maximum of two hours per day free computer use. Once you have booked a computer you will be able to log-on at your pre-booked time using your library card and PIN. The computer will show your name.
You will need your library card and PIN to book, if you don’t know your library PIN. If you don’t know your library PIN you can ask staff at any library to reset your PIN or contact us on 0116 305 2695, email libraries@leics.gov.uk.
If you know your library card number and registered your email address when you joined the library, you can also reset it online by visiting the online library catalogue, selecting ‘log in’ and ‘forgot my PIN’.
Printing services at your library
The Library Service has recently invested in a new system for printing and photocopying. The new system, called Papercut, will allow customers to securely manage their printing, photocopying and scanning using the library’s public computers.
All your prints can be managed and paid for online, without the need to use a coinbox. For customers still wanting to use cash, print vouchers will be available to buy over the counter.
Use your own device
Papercut also allows library customers to print securely to the library printer from their own device via Wifi. Prints can be sent from home at any time of the day to be collected later.
Accounts are simple to set up, you just need your library card and PIN, so you don’t need to memorise more account details, see:
