We are a charity run pre-school for 2-4 years with a wrap around care service for children 2-11 years. We are led by a committee made up of parents of the children who attend/attended our setting. We have ongoing fund raising events to enable us to buy new equipment to enhance the children''s learning. As well as having our enclosed play area we also have use of the school field and main play area - therefore fantastic outdoor facilities.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and staff are always welcoming further training courses, etc to ensure they are up to date to be able to best support the children. Our Manager has NVQ Level 3 and is currently working towards her Level 5 and has experience in Makaton sign language, Safeguarding and a wide range of education and SEND experience from her 20 years childcare career. All of our staff are Level2/3 qualified with one at a Level 4 and all have a wealth of experience and knowledge of child development and how to support children to enhance their learning.
We offer 2, 3 and 4 yr funding, 30hr funding and EYPP. We also make reasonable adjustments to the best of our ability to support children with SEND and work closely with parents and professionals to ensure the best learning and development outcomes for all children.
Being part of a small community we are able to have walks around the village e.g. the park, post office, cow field and the windmill. We have close partnerships with Ullesthorpe Primary and Claybrooke primary schools. We also use the mobile library that comes to the school and the "Toy Library".
