The Pre-School Play Station

Mon - Fri: 09:00 am-03:00 pm

Open five days a week Monday to Friday term time, 9am to 3pm, we are a preschool situated within the Alan Talbott room of The Village Hall, Station Rd, Broughton Astley. Although the village hall has been the home of preschools for more than 40 years, The Pre-school Playstation was opened by Sandra Rushforth in January 2001. Since then thousands of faces young and old have passed through the pre-school as we are just a quick stop on the journey of life. As of 2018, the preschool has its very own Level 3 Forest School leader and can now take up 12 children at time out on forest school trips weekly in our adventure bus. Here at The Pre-school Playstation in Broughton Astley, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are Ofsted registered Good. We understand every child is unique and believe in child led development and free play, alongside adult led activities. We also operate our learning journeys through Tapestry. Each month we focus our planning around a different book for example The Gruffalo, Handa’s Surprise and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We also focus on a different country each month like Spain, France or Scotland. Our members of staff are all qualified in NVQ Level 3, First aid and Safeguarding. We also boast 5 Early Years Graduates and 2 who have their BA in Early Years. We accept 3 year old 15 and 30 hour funding and 2 year old funding.
