Susan Carolyn Hoyle

Ofsted registered as a Childminder since 2006, graded Good in my last inspection and currently working towards my Hygge Accreditation in the Early Years. I provide early years care (including funded placements) and before and after school with drop off and collection of children at Burbage Infant and Junior Schools.
I offer safe and nurturing care in a calm and relaxed environment encouraging curiosity and independence and promote self esteem, confidence, motivation and perseverance in preparation for school readiness.
My setting has a dedicated playroom, good sized garden to explore with a covered all weather outdoor play area full of curiosity items and treasure to spark the imagination of the children.
I am a keen gardener, artist, animal and nature lover. In my setting I follow the seasons of the year and base the activities around the changing seasons, interests, needs and requests of the children. Including open ended play, craft, art and sensory play, baking, the joys of nature, books, animals by using provocations and invitations to play. Including growing flowers and veg from seeds and helping to care for our rescued pets and organised outings.
