I have been childminding for 24 years and have three children who are now adults; the youngest is off to University soon. With the EYFS children, I attend toddler groups 2/3 times a week. I have many children in my care, and we treat everyone as part of our family. We have a large garden and an extension on the side of the house which consists of a study, a playroom and, a downstairs toilet. We have two pet dogs who are very friendly and, the children love them, two rabbits and two chickens also a tortoise and lots of fish. We have lots of toys and craft things. I don''t mind an early start and I always try to be ready. My children love DVD''s and books and do have a wide range of activities inside and out. I have an NVQ 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development, First Aid Certificate, Health and Safety Certificate and 5-star environmental certificate. I have achieved helping boys to achieve and Safeguarding day 1 and 2. I Holda degree in Early childhood studies and mosr reciently completed a Early years teacher status after completed a year teacher placement in a local school.
