My name is Lorna Buxton, I am an experienced professional who has worked as a childminder since 2002.
While in my care the children are seen as part of the family. I provide a safe and happy environment in my own home. I have a specialist playroom and a large outdoor garden for the children to play in. I am OFSTED rated 'GOOD' and follow the EYFS curriculum, learning through play for children from birth to 5.
I provide a variety of childcare, Monday to Friday, including funded places for 2,3 and 4 year olds. I am experianced in caring for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
We have a busy time, I regularly take the children out for walks and trips to interesting places like farm parks, the space centre, play areas and museaums. Every week I take the children to Mums & Tots on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning. (Covid permitting)
My parents live close by and my mum is my OFSTED registered assistant.
We have lots of toys and the garden has a Wendy House and slide for the little ones. I have an NVQ level 3 in Childcare and a First Aid Certificate. I live with my 7 year old standard poodle, Alfie.
