Little Apples Afterschool Club

At Little Apples we provide an excellent service for parents, incorporating high quality care for children in a safe, inclusive, caring and positive environment. We also provide a service of support and link with the feeder school.

Each day children have the opportunity to be independent with a range of resources and child-led some adult-led activities which they choose, spending time indoors and outdoors. We aim to provide a multi-cultural environment, completely discrimination free, and actively promote equality for the children this is shown through books, posters and equipment. We will prioritise safeguarding children including Prevent duty at all times.

We aim to be flexible and sensitive to individual children’s needs and abilities with a range of experiences and strategies held by our team. We don’t follow any curriculums or development and learning guideline’s, such as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) & Foundation stage profile, however we will support and encourage all children to develop and progress their holistic development especially social & emotional.

Depending on time of sessions we provide a healthy & nutritional snack/light tea, and regularly have ''fruit of the week'' whereby children taste unusual foods.

We also encourage parental involvement and ensure that they are provided with regular information, aware of our policies and procedures and know how to contact us, this is done at the time of registration.

From a legal aspect we aim to maintain initial standards set by Ofsted and build on them wherever possible. This includes all aspects, especially safety for the children, and have high standards of safeguarding procedures which can be seen in our policies and procedures.
