Little Acorns work very closely with Thringstone Primary school, especially their foundation class, which helps for a smooth transition into school. We prepare children to be "school ready" and tailor all learning for the children's individual needs. Topics are planned weekly using children's interests and ideas. In the purpose-built building Little Acorns have a range of activities to suit all interests and to develop all children in all areas of the EYFS. The outdoor area is accessible most of the day for children to free flow between the indoors and the outdoors. All staff are DBS checked, hold relevant childcare qualifications, first aid trained, hold food hygiene certificates and have attended many relevant courses such as speech and language, Makaton, play champions and many more. All staff have many years of experience within childcare. For children staying for lunch they have the option to bring in their own packed lunch or pay for a hot lunch.
