 I have been working as a childminder for nearly 18 years, in which time I have been on many courses to expand my knowledge and the opportunities for the children in my setting. Both me and my assistant have got Level 3 in Paediatric First Aid. We offer a warm environment, where children feel safe. At my setting I offer a range of activities, allowing children to play indoor and outdoors. Children are encouraged to take part in many activities and we have a range of resources to enable children to have their own ideas and make their own choice, on what they would like to play or make. All children have the opportunity to take part in craft activities for all special occasions.  We are often out at the local playgroups at least 3 times a week, where the children are getting used to new people and different environments. I pick up and drop off at my local school, Fairfield Primary School, Wigston.
