The Nursery Teacher and Nursery Manager work together with the staff team to provide a wealth of learning opportunities for the children to experience both in and outdoors. Staff have high expectations for the children and are motivated to ensure all children succeed. We form good relationships with our parents and freely share information in children's 'Learning Journeys'. The nursery is located in the grounds of Swallowdale Primary School and is based in an open plan, modular building with a separate kitchen area. The building provides defined learning areas and offers free-flow play to a secure outdoor area. The outdoor environment is divided into different areas which include loose parts play, sensory experiences, physical and imaginary play. Access to the nursery is gained via a secure gate, attached to the school. The nursery was awarded Outstanding in our latest Ofsted inspection in February 2016.
