The Forward Plan

Our Forward Plan contains a list of all key decisions, and decisions to be made in private, which we must publish 28 days before a Cabinet meeting.

A key decision is an executive decision, which is likely to:

  • Mean we have to spend a significant amount of council money – or make a significant financial saving - that will have a big impact on the service delivery and/or the funds of the service to which the decision relates.
  • Have a big impact on the communities living or working in an area, comprising 2 or more wards or electoral divisions in the county. 

Some decisions are taken in private due to them relating to exempt items. A list of categories of exempt information is available in the Forward Plan.
