Woodlands Nursery & Forest School in Melton Mowbray is based in a beautiful wooded area and gives your child the opportunity to learn, play and grow surrounded by nature. Woodlands believes that your child's favourite memories are made playing outdoors and each room has its own dedicated outside play area.
The nursery also makes use of its on-site forest school, which children visit throughout the week to explore and experience the natural world through hands-on activities. For example, they will develop their physical skills by making dens, numeracy by counting leaves and pine cones and creativity by making art with natural materials.
Each child is treated as an individual, with unique interests, strengths and weaknesses. They have their own key person who will track their development and work closely with parents to put together the next steps and plan activities based around them.
The nursery also offers a before/after school and holiday club for primary school aged children. This includes pick up from some local primary schools.
