There’ll be a pitch-side push for foster carers this weekend as Leicestershire County Council’s fostering team visits Leicester City FC.
The county council wants to find more foster carers to support youngsters in need of help and support and will be at the King Power Stadium for the Premier League match with Bournemouth on Saturday, 2 January.
The fostering and adoption bus will be at the ground ahead of the big kick-off, offering advice and information to potential carers with the particular focus on supporting mums and babies, siblings, teenagers and permanent fostering arrangements.
We’re keen to spread the message about the important role foster carers play in children’s lives.
If you’re at the game and want to know more our team would love to hear from you and will be available for tea and chat.
Person:Councillor Ivan Ould, cabinet member for children and families
The county’s Children in Care Council has been invited to the match and will also take part in half time activities on the pitch.
There will also be a portable climbing wall and other activities from Beaumanor Hall – all helping to raise the profile of the county council’s fostering team.
