The council has a pre-winter stock of 18,500 tonnes of salt located at 5 depots around the County.When the temperatures start to fall we work 24/7 to monitor the roads and our 17 gritters are sent out day and night when conditions dictate.Although public finances are stretched, we are committed to gritting our routes to help keep the county moving.
