Find out about fostering event

People interested in fostering can chat to carers at a special event this week.

The informal event will be held from 6.15-8pm on Thursday, 17 November at County Hall in Glenfield and will provide an opportunity for people to meet and talk to carers, as well as the council’s fostering team.

Every year, foster carers retire or their circumstances change, so the county council is always actively looking for new people to come forward.

Fostering is a very worthwhile activity that current foster parents tell me they feel makes a real difference to a child’s life chances. I would urge all of you who are interested to attend an open evening and find out more. If you can make a difference to a child in need come along to find out how you could help.
