What kind of toys did children play with in the past? In this session children will learn about toys from the Tudor and Victorian periods and compare them to the toys children play with today. Children will be able to play with the toys and decide whether they belonged to poor or wealthy children in the past.

Who were the Vikings? What did they eat and wear? What were their homes like? In this session children will learn about the influx of Vikings into the Wreake Valley area in the 9th century – over 1000 years ago! Children will use maps, handle replica Viking artefacts and try several Viking activities, including weaving, making clay beads and writing in runes.
