If you live in the city of Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland - you can call the new advice line for domestic and sexual abuse.This new joined up service makes it much easier for people to get help when they need it. Telephone numbers which have been previously advertised will be diverted to the new number for a short period. You should still call 101, or in an emergency 999, to report domestic or sexual violence to Leicestershire Police.Councils across the area and the Police and Crime Commissioner have joined up to provide this new service through United Against Violence and Abuse (UAVA).The police will be working closely with UAVA to make sure that victims receive the help and support they need.
