Work Clubs

The GREAT Project: Skills for finding jobs and access to IT facilities.

GREAT Project

GREAT Project

Getting Ready for Employment and Training (GREAT) Project is an innovative and creative family inclusion project, working with family members in Leicestershire who may be at risk from social exclusion and being furthest away from the job market.

Leicestershire County Council Work Clubs are one of a number of partners involved in this project.

Work Clubs will operate within libraries, ensuring participants will have access to IT facilities outside of the Work Club for job search and self-employment research. They will deliver:

  • CV writing skills
  • Job search using computers
  • Guidance on how to fill in application forms
  • Use of email
  • Interview skills
  • Links to training and volunteering

The Work Clubs offer a holistic approach which is focused on the needs of the individual participants.

Having Work Clubs in local areas ensures they have the flexibility to support specific local needs across the whole of the county and city.
